World Poetry Day

Today is the World Poetry Day ... so, let's read poetry!
Do you write poems? I don't write poems.
Do you read poems? I sometimes read poems.

We are going to read these poems in class and... why not?, try writing your own poems too!

Listen and read these two poems written by Robert Louis Stevenson:

Whole Duty of children
.

A child should always say what's true
And speak when he is spoken to,

And behave mannerly at table;
At least as far as he is able.

At The Seaside

When I was down beside the sea
A wooden spade they gave to me
To dig the sandy shore.

My holes were empty like a cup.
In every hole the sea came up,
Till it could come no more.

I love poetry. I (try to) write poems.

In fact, I've got a blog where I post some of my poems.

Dear Thunder,

I have seen your blog on poetry. Unfortunately, I can't understand Portuguese but the blog is simply great and I can guess your poems are great too.
Thanks a lot for your attention,
Gemma
